The Public Law minor is meant for students interested in public interest law, which spans constitutional law, criminal law, civil liberties, civil rights, immigration law, international law, environmental law, trial advocacy, administrative law, regulatory law, and more.
Pair it with a Law & Economics major or a Legal Studies minor for the widest possible legal coursework, or with any other major or minor to add law classes to your resume. You can also double-count up to 15 credits with another major, minor, or certificate — including Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, or the Lawmaking & Legal Processes Certificate.
PLANNING YOUR MAJOR, MINOR, OR CERTIFICATE?
Pre-law students may major in any discipline. If you need to declare a Public Law minor, a certificate, or a Political Science major or minor — or have questions about any law-related program — schedule an advising appointment.
