LSAT and LSAC essentials
LSAC LAW SCHOOL FORUMS
LSAC runs several law school forums each fall where prospective students can meet representatives from nearly every law school — held both in person across the U.S. and virtually. They’re a fantastic way to connect with schools you’re interested in, get fee waivers, and learn more about the application process. Registration is free but required.

Since August 2026, the LSAT’s multiple-choice section must be taken in person at a Prometric testing center. Remote testing is no longer offered, except for documented medical accommodations or extreme hardship approved in advance by LSAC. The separate LSAT Argumentative Writing section is still completed remotely. Check the LSAC website for current registration windows, test dates, and score-release dates so you can plan your prep timeline.

LSAC offers fee waivers that cover LSAT registration, the Credential Assembly Service, and score reports for applicants who demonstrate financial need. Apply through your LSAC account before you register — approval takes time, so start early.

Nearly every ABA-approved law school requires you to apply through CAS. You send your transcripts and letters of recommendation to LSAC once, and CAS assembles a standardized report that goes to each school you apply to. Register for it well before your first application deadline.

LawHub is LSAC’s official prep platform. A free account gets you official practice tests in the same interface you’ll use at the testing center, plus application tracking. It’s the closest thing to sitting the actual exam, so do your timed practice here.
